Installing the Chrome extension

You can use EmailTree to automatically generate your responses using the extension that can be added to your Google Chrome web browser.

1.Click the button represented by the three vertical dots next to the Chrome address bar, select “More Tools”, and then choose “Extensions” from the displayed list.
2. If you’ve never enabled extensions, you can click on "Chrome Web Store" displayed in the middle of the screen.
3. Otherwise, on the same page, on the left, you will find the menu button.
4. Once you open the menu by clicking down, you will be directed to the Chrome Web Store. Simply search by typing EmailTree.
5. Once the result is displayed, you open it, and press the "Add to Chrome" button, then confirm the addition.
6.You wait until the extension is added, and finally it will appear in the list of extensions.
7.The last manipulation is to configure the extension so that it only opens when browsing on certain sites. To do this you must click on "Details" and then in the "Site access" section you will choose the option "On specific sites". You can then add the sites on which you want to display the extension.

Chrome extension - how to use it ?

Once the extension is installed, the small EmailTree icon is displayed on the right. You can log in using the link to the company’s EmailTree account, and enter the email address and password that was chosen when registering the account.

By default, it will be placed on the right side of the screen, but you can adapt the display according to your own way of working.

This change is possible from the top right extension menu. The Position of extension parameter can be set with display on the right, as is currently the case, or it can be changed to display at the bottom of the screen.

We also have the option to change the icon display to open or close the extension.
The last option available in this menu is the Reset after copy option, which we advise you to activate by checking the corresponding box. We will see later the utility of this feature which will be active from now on.

Now let’s see how you can use the extension. In the initial interface, you can add the request received from the client. If this text contains sensitive information, such as a mailing address, telephone number, email address or other personal information that should not be disclosed to a third party, it is possible to make this information anonymous. Select the text in question, right-click and choose from the list the type of information to be anonymized..
The last information to be filled in is the "Reference ID" field.

Here you will add the unique identification number of the conversation you have with your customer. If this information is not available, this field may be left blank.

These last two options regarding the anonymization of the text, and the identification number of the conversation are available upon request at support@emailtree.ai.

You can now click on "Get a suggestion" to receive suggestions from EmailTree.
